The ‘Exorcist’ star has become a horror icon since her breakthrough as a possessed child on screen.
Linda Blair became a scary movie icon starring as a possessed child in the 1973 horror classic The Exorcist. The role earned her a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress and an Academy Award nomination in the same category.
After The Exorcist, Linda went on to star in a range of films, including the TV movie Born Innocent (1974) and the musical Roller Boogie (1979). She returned to the horror genre in the 1980s, appearing in the slasher Hell Night (1981), the prison drama Chained Heat (1983) and the cult thriller Savage Streets (1984).
Linda has also worked in unscripted TV, hosting the reality series Scariest Places on Earth from 2001 to 2003 and making regular appearances on the Animal Planet series Pit Boss from 2010 to 2012. She is a longtime animal rights activist and a vegan, and in 2004 she founded the Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation, an animal rescue nonprofit.
