Lucy Hale has come a long way since ‘Pretty Little Liars.’ See pictures of the actress in our gallery here.
Lucy Hale is best known for her breakout role as Aria Montgomery on Pretty Little Liars (2010–2017), which cemented her status as a TV star. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Hale moved to Los Angeles at age 15 to pursue a music career, but quickly found success in acting. Early roles included guest appearances on Drake & Josh, Wizards of Waverly Place, The O.C., and a starring role on The CW’s short-lived series Privileged.
After Pretty Little Liars ended, Hale transitioned into leading film roles, starring in projects like The Hating Game, Borrego, and Which Brings Me to You. She also headlined The CW’s Katy Keene in 2020, which ran for one season and allowed her to blend acting and music onscreen.
Music has remained part of Hale’s career as well. She released her debut album, The Road Between, in 2014 and has continued performing through acting projects and live appearances. In recent years, Hale has focused primarily on film, expanding into more mature roles as she moves further away from her teen-drama roots.
