Maya Rudolph has been making people laugh for an entire generation. Born on July 27, 1972, in Gainesville, Florida, she is the daughter of legendary singer Minnie Riperton and songwriter-producer Richard Rudolph. Maya got her start on Saturday Night Live in 2000, where she became a fan favorite thanks to her unforgettable celebrity impressions and original characters.
After leaving SNL in 2007, she built a successful film and television career with standout roles in Bridesmaids, Grown Ups, Inherent Vice, Sisters, Life of the Party, Wine Countryand the Apple TV+ comedy Loot. She has also earned acclaim for her voice work in projects like Big Mouth and has won six Primetime Emmy Awards, including for voicing Connie the Hormone Monstress and for her portrayals of Kamala Harris on Saturday Night Live. In 2026, Maya made her Broadway debut as Mary Todd Lincoln in Oh, Mary!, earning rave reviews and extending her limited run.
