It was a starry evening at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 5, 2025! Celebrating “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” most celebrity guests arrived in looks that fully embraced the theme — from chic pantsuits to simply sleek gowns.
As the public knows, the Met Gala can occasionally be one huge, ridiculous costume party for some guests. In the past, a handful of stars have shown up wearing questionable outfits, such as Jared Leto‘s fuzzy kitten suit at the 2023 Met Gala. But this time around, the stars nodded to classic and timeless dress pieces.
