Michelle Pfeiffer has remained a Hollywood mainstay for decades, with a career that spans from iconic ’80s roles to major modern blockbusters. While younger audiences may recognize her from films like Hairspray, Murder on the Orient Express, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, her rise to fame began in the 1980s, when she quickly became one of the most sought-after actresses of her generation. Over the years, she has earned numerous accolades, including a Golden Globe Award and three Academy Award nominations.
Pfeiffer broke out with leading roles in The Witches of Eastwick (1987) and Married to the Mob (1988), the latter earning her a Golden Globe. She followed that success with critically acclaimed performances in Dangerous Liaisons (1988) and The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989), receiving back-to-back Oscar nominations. Her portrayal of lounge singer Susie Diamond in The Fabulous Baker Boys remains one of the most celebrated performances of her career.
She continued to take on memorable roles in the years that followed, including her iconic portrayal of Catwoman — Selina Kyle — in Batman Returns (1992). In more recent years, Pfeiffer has stayed active on screen, appearing in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) and leading new television projects like The Madison and Margo’s Got Money Troubles, both released in 2026.
