As one of the most notorious fighters to ever step into the Octagon, Conor McGregor became a household name over the years. While his often-NSFW trash talk has gotten under the skin of many of his opponents, sometimes his mouth writes a check that his fists can’t cash. Nevertheless, loss comes with a career in fighting, and Conor is no stranger to the occasional letdown in the ring.
In recent years, McGregor has remained in the spotlight for both his fighting future and ongoing controversies. In 2024, an Irish civil court found him liable in a sexual assault case stemming from a 2018 incident, which he denied. He has also faced legal issues tied to driving offenses, assault allegations and disorderly conduct over the years. Despite a long layoff from competition following his 2021 leg injury against Dustin Poirier, the Irish fighter is now set to make his UFC return in July 2026 against Max Holloway at UFC 329. Outside the cage, McGregor married longtime partner Dee Devlin in 2025, and the couple share four children together.
